Pregnant With Purpose

Pregnant With Purpose

If you are 18 or over, I think it's safe to say that you probably know someone that is or has been pregnant.

When I reflect on my own experience as a woman with a belly full of baby, it brings back such precious memories.  Thankfully I wasn't violently ill, just a little nausea during the first trimester along with being excessively tired, and it was pretty much smooth sailing afterwards until I got to the end of the pregnancy when I was just tired of being pregnant and ready to have my baby.

Because pregnancy can be such a mystery people very often conduct research whether it is the  internet, purchasing and/or borrowing books or a combination of both along with a plethora of old "wives tales" and/or stories from their mothers, grandmothers, friends, etc.  Just as no two people are not alike, no two pregnancies or birthing experiences are exactly alike.  Of course there will be similarities, but again, the actual experience will be different 99.9% of the time.

I find it ironic that a normal healthy pregnancy is three-three month trimesters.  While I don't want to get too deep and will never be accused of being mystical, I want to share my numerological findings based on the study of religions scholars:

Three - Signifies unity and is also said to signify "divine" completion or perfection.

Three is the number of Persons in the Trinity.  For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. (I John 5:7 NKJV).  Many significant events in the Bible happened "on the third day":
  • Jonah the disobedient prophet was in a whale (great fish) for three days -- Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. (Jonah 1:17 NKJV)
  •  The Apostle Paul was blinded by The Lord for three days -- He remained there blind for three days and did not eat or drink. (Acts 9:9 NLT)
  • Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. (John 2:19 KJV)

Three-Three month trimesters equal Nine.  The numerological information related to Nine is as follows:

Nine - May mean fullness of blessing and/or divine completeness from the Father.

What resonates with me is Nine fruit of the Holy Spirit.  That is not a typo.  The scripture is clear there is only one fruit but nine "characteristics" (for lack of a better term).  Don't get caught up in the grammar (fruit v. fruits), this isn't an English class
Galatians 5:22-23:  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (ESV)
Since we know that "Nothing Just Happens", I feel confident in saying that God's handy work is complete at nine months (three, three-month trimesters) and in most cases when a baby is full term it is generally born healthy.  Of course there are always exceptions to the rule.

During that nine month period, the mother can experience a many problems (e.g. morning, sickness, swelling, toxemia, carpal tunnel syndrome, hemorrhaging, excessive weight gain, weight loss, insomnia, muscle cramps, etc.).  The certainty that the parent(s) have is that most of these challenges will subside once the mother gives birth.  While they at least have a due date, they don't know for sure when "birth will call".   On the other hand there are life threatening challenges that force the parent(s) to make the agonizing decision of choosing between the mother or the baby and if they chose the latter, they will have to abort the pregnancy.

Now I want to speak to those who are -- Pregnant With Purpose

Jeremiah 29:11 GNTD:  I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.

Is that not amazing.  God has specific plans for each and every one of us, so unique that even if seems like the plan God has for you is similar to the one he has for me our life experiences will make them uniquely different.  What do I mean by that?  Well, who do you know that can:
  1. Cook their tail off but they have never been to culinary school?
  2. Sing until the hairs on your head stand up in applause, but they haven't taken voice lessons?
  3. Repair almost anything that breaks, but they've never attended any type of trade school?
  4. Can soothe almost any child and always has somebody's child with them including their own
  5. Has the patience of Job and Mother Theresa
  6. Can talk you and anybody else into doing almost whatever they want?
  7. Can organize any room, closet, file cabinet and loves doing it?
  8. Create/start a business(s) with no money and raise her children off the proceeds? (DD Sharice)
  9. Develops their own product line with NO formal EXPERIENCE in chemistry (Tina Heard-Andrews of SinaiJ Product Line -- www.sinaij07.com)
  10. Who do you know that talks about a dream of doing AB or C and has for years?
I could go on and on, but you get my meaning.  Do you think that's an accident, luck or the stars lining up?  Uh, yeah, right!

Honey, that ain't no luck.  Those people are Pregnant with Purpose.  The purpose is the "raw" gift(s) and dream(s) uniquely designed and distributed by God to "whosonever" he choses.  They didn't just dream the dream by accident or go to Wal-Mart and by a gift card.
Every good gift, every perfect gift, comes from above. These gifts come down from the Father, the creator of the heavenly lights, in whose character there is no change at all. (James 1:17 CEB)

They (you) need to (be encouraged to) cultivate their gift (by getting formal training, coaching and/or experience) so they can give birth to the full purpose (the reason they were born) and share that purpose with their world.

I know that people can go to school to "learn" how to do some of the things I mentioned, but those with the natural talent who then cultivate that gift by getting some type of training are or can be 100 times more successful than the person who "learned" how to do XY or Z.
Please note that I am not taking anything away from the person who got a degree or job in a specific area and you don't have the "natural" talent.  However, if you suck at what you're doing, you're stuck, miserable and/or you make the people around you miserable, you need to identify your gift.  Sorry, I'm just being real.
Thinking about the same "who do you know list" above, how many people do you know that had a still-born birth or abortion?  WAIT, BEFORE YOU ANSWER!!  I don't mean physically, I mean:
  • they spiritually aborted their purpose by coming up with excuses as to why they could not, should not, would not operate in their gift; or
  • their purpose was "still born" because they did not nurture (cultivate) their purpose correctly and/or something went seriously wrong and they ignored the internal stress signals they received.
OK, Tania what in the world are you talking about?  You know exactly what I mean because you know people who have done so and some of you are hearing me right now.

In closing, God is a God of timing.  Just as a pregnancy has a life span, so do our dreams and the gifts He gives us.  If we don't use them correctly he can TAKE THEM BACK and curse us.
Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. (Matthew 25:28 NKJV)

If something that I said got your attention it really isn't me, it's God giving you "another" chance.  That's why you can "hear" this information with a different listening device, your "inner ear" so you can "go head own[sic] and do what you 'posed to do -- Boo Boo".  How? Ask God to forgive you for being lazy, fearful, whatever the excuse and then ask Him to give you the strategic plan and resources to carry out His will for your life.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  James 1:5
Don't covet, wish or ask for the dream/gift/purpose that God gave to someone else.  You don't know the price they have paid to be who they are and you don't have what it takes to maintain it.  That's why they have it and you don't.

In His Humble Excellence

Tan
